Its Ours!

Castle Street Centre Association purchased the building on the 24th July 2007. Since then the Princess Trust have decorated the corridors on their latest project, these young adults have helped transform the Centre into a venue that is in demand. Their past efforts have transformed the Detached ,Meeting & Art Room. We are honoured to involved with their courses. Maintenance is a ongoing fixture eleven windows have been replaced and the Detached Room has been rendered. Summer 2009 we removed approx 3.5tons of debris out of the roof space in the hall and fixed a smoking canopy in the workshop area. On the 14th December 2009 we  removed a leaking asbestos roof along with the ceiling and beams, this has now been replaced with a slate roof and a insulated ceiling. The roof project was carried out in some of the coldest winter conditions that Kendal has seen in the last 50 years. We would like to thank Kendal Town Council and the Neighbourhood Forum for thier Grant of a £1,000 each
